Your Fire TV Stick can’t match this ultimate upgrade that’s coming to the UK soon

Panasonic has just announced the launch of its new TVs which get stunning displays, epic audio and are powered by Amazon’s Fire OS.

If you love your Fire TV Stick but fancy something a little more impressive for your next movie binge – watch this space. The CES technology event has just taken place in Las Vegas and one of the stars of the show was the latest telly update from Panasonic. The Japanese firm already makes some top-rated televisions but its latest screens – which are all powered by Amazon's Fire OS operating system – are taking things up another notch.

Panasonic revealed a number of updates in Sin City, including a new flagship model called the Z95B. This top-end TV gets a refreshed OLED screen that pushes brightness, contrast and colour to new levels. It even features a new ThermalFlow aerodynamic cooling system – which has been inspired by race car design – to make sure its pin-sharp display can sustain peak performance for longer. That should mean epic visuals no matter how long your boxset binges last for.

It's not just about eye-pleasing visuals. Tucked inside this new telly are enough speakers to start a disco with 360-degree audio – including a top-firing boombox – offering surround sound without needing cables and other accessories positioned all over your living room.

As we mentioned earlier, Panasonic TVs now come installed with Fire OS – that's the same system you'll find on Fire TV Sticks. That means there's easy access to all the most popular streaming apps along with voice search via Alexa. Panasonic has also added a feature called Prime Video Calibrated Mode which enhances things when watching shows and movies on Amazon's online service.

Another nice bonus is Amazon's Fire TV Ambient Experience which turns the screen into a giant work of art when you aren't using it – it's even possible to add useful widgets onto the display such as personal photos, sticky notes and calendar updates. This boost is currently only available on Amazon's more premium Fire 4K Max model so it's nice to see it appearing on Panasonic's screen as well.

Those who love gaming will find support for both AMD Freesync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC. This provides industry-leading low latency, support for 144Hz refresh rate, and True Game Mode allowing you to experience games as the creators’ intended.

To help the new screens blend in better with your surroundings, Panasonic says it has created a full-flat design with a premium finish. Added features like detachable terminal covers, swivel options and wall-mount depth reduction should also help to maintain a minimalist look.

There's no price or release date just yet but we do know that the Z95B, will come in three sizes – 55 inches, 65 inches, and 77 inches.

Panasonic now joins Samsung and LG with new TV launches so it could be a good year if you are in need of an upgrade.
