Blue Origin sent six more tourists into space and back from Texas on Sunday as part of its 13th passenger flight.
The New Shepard rocket lifted off Sunday at 10:39 a.m. ET with Ellie and Carl Kuehner, Leland Larson, Freddy Recigno Jr., Owolabi Salis and James Sitken on board.
The BE-3 rocket's hydrogen engine burned for about two and a half minutes, accelerating the spacecraft to considerable speed. The capsule then separated from the booster, reaching its maximum altitude above the Earth and giving passengers the opportunity to experience weightlessness.
Throughout the flight, passengers were able to enjoy views of space as the ship ascended toward the generally recognized boundary between Earth and space, the Karman line.
The capsule returned safely to earth, and the booster landed back on the launch pad.
Carl Kuehner became Blue Origin's 70th astronaut and the 750th person in history to fly in space, according to the Association of Space Explorers' Registry of Space Travelers.
Since Jeff Bezos' flight in July 2021, Blue Origin has flown 13 passenger flights, carrying 74 passengers in total, four of whom have flown twice.
Information on the cost of a flight on New Shepard has not yet been disclosed.
