A Connecticut man was rescued from a difficult situation.
An unidentified 40-year-old man became stuck in a tube slide at an elementary school playground in Vernon, Connecticut, on August 16.
Vernon firefighters, EMS and police responded to the call shortly after 4:30 p.m. and went to Northeast Elementary School, according to the fire department's Facebook post.
The first units to arrive on the scene found a man stuck upside down in the middle of a slide.
Additional assistance was requested, including a fire engine, Rescue 141 and Tower 541.

The man was treated using an emergency medical machine after he was reportedly in “significant discomfort” due to the heat of the summer day.
“While rescuers from 141 were preparing evacuation tools, rescuers from Tower 541 set up a rescue ladder on the grass next to the playground and used it to stabilize a section of the slide that firefighters were dismantling to reach the patient,” the fire department reported on Facebook.

Half an hour later, the man was freed after rescuers managed to separate the lower part of the slide, dividing it into two parts.
The man reportedly refused medical attention and refused transport to the emergency room.
“While this was an unusual event for the fire department, the professionalism displayed on scene was top notch,” Vernon Fire Department officials said in a Facebook post that was widely shared.
