On Wednesday, October 15, the Sun may experience its most powerful flares in months.
The corresponding forecast, as reported by a correspondent for the online publication Belnovosti, was published by scientists on the Telegram channel of the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
“The outbreaks are expected to peak. Records will be broken—currently, only two- to three-month records,” TASS quotes the researchers as saying.

Previously, luminaries of science reported two M2.0 flares. Furthermore, on Tuesday, October 14, astronomers registered seven more solar flares classified as class C.
Experts divide solar flares into five types – A, B, C, M and X – depending on the intensity of the X-ray radiation they produce.
The weakest flares, class A0.0, produce radiation of 10 nanowatts per square meter in Earth orbit.
Each subsequent class on this scale represents a tenfold increase in power compared to the previous one.
Such flares are often accompanied by plasma emissions. Upon reaching our planet, these clouds of charged particles can cause magnetic storms.
