One local resident came up with a way to get even with his neighbor: repeating the same small act of revenge every year.
Their scam began after their former neighbor was accused of poisoning their cat ten years ago. On Reddit, a resident anonymously revealed that his property and garden were located higher than his neighbor's, which had created the initial difficulties.

When they watered their garden, water ran down the slope onto her property, “killing her trees.” The argument raged for months, but the resident ignored any hostility because she and her family were planning to move.
However, the situation escalated when the tenant, then 12, returned home from school to find his cat lying lifeless by the door. A post on the r/Neighborsfromhell Reddit page stated, “We took her to the vet, and he confirmed she was poisoned.”
The only possible culprit was our neighbor. When we got home, my mother gave her a dressing down. The neighbor told my mother, “It's not nice when your things die.” My whole family was devastated.
“My neighbor thought she had the last laugh, but I held a grudge and was a completely angry child.” The resident was “so furious” and spent several days trying to come up with a plan for revenge.

They waited until he moved out and enlisted the help of a friend who had a dog. Then they hatched a plan: smear dog feces all over the neighbor's car and front door.
But that wasn't all: after the teenager got his driver's license, the revenge continued. Every Halloween, they drove past the woman's house and pelted it with eggs.
In the title of the Reddit post, the user wrote: “My neighbor killed my cat 11 years ago and I'm still getting revenge on her.”
The post garnered over 200 comments on the platform. While this resident received recognition for his actions toward his beloved pet, some believe he could have gone further.

One of them remarked, “Want a simple trick? Buy a fish and throw it on the roof. It will roll down the gutters, and some will remain on the roof. The smell will kill it.”
Another added: “Before a good rain, scatter a few handfuls of beef bouillon cubes around the yard. Every dog in the neighborhood will be digging around the yard for treats.”
A third user commented: “You need to sign her up for every single stupid spam campaign out there.”
Others praised the tenant for getting his comeuppance. One exclaimed, “Well done! Glad you got her back. Your cat is smiling from the rainbow bridge.”
The Metropolitan Police recommends that if you witness or suspect animal cruelty, you report it to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA). Police work with the animal welfare charity to investigate cases of animal cruelty.
