A Gavin and Stacey superfan went to Lancashire tattoo artist Nicole for a tattoo tribute to what they described as the “best first episode” of a sitcom ever
A fan of Gavin and Stacey has surprised others by getting a humorous leg tattoo to celebrate the return of their favorite Welsh TV show.
Tattoo artist Nicole, known online as @heyhunsitsnicole, shared the funny design with her 10,000 followers, and it quickly gained attention. In a video that received over 20,000 likes, Nicole, from Rossendale, Lancashire, demonstrated the process of applying the tattoo stencil, which revealed an image of three steaks on a plate.
The tattoo reads, “3 steaks Pam!”—a nod to a well-known scene from the BBC show created by James Corden and Ruth Jones. In the first episode, Pam Shipman (played by Alison Steadman) serves steak, chips, and peas to her husband Mick and son Gavin.
When Pam sits down, Mick notices she has three steaks on her plate. Pam explains that she’s following the Atkins diet, which restricts carbs, so she swapped the usual chips and peas for two extra steaks.
Mick and Gavin tease her, and Pam worries that Mick will spread the story, leading to her being called “three steaks Pam.” The scene has become a popular meme online, with the audio frequently shared on TikTok.

Fans of the tattoo found it hilarious, sharing their reactions in the comments. One person joked, “We have peaked as humans,” while another quipped, “Steaks thrice.” Another commenter called it “the best first episode of any show.”
The highly anticipated return of Gavin and Stacey is in production, leading up to the long-awaited “final” episode, scheduled to air at Christmas. The BBC sitcom hasn’t released new episodes since its last special in 2019, but the show’s return was officially confirmed in May. By July, the script was completed, with filming starting this month.
It comes after James Corden met with fans as the filming for a final episode of Gavin and Stacey got underway. Both James and his co-creator Ruth Jones – who play Smithy and Nessa – will return for a final Christmas special of the BBC show, with filming now underway on Barry Island ahead of the last ever episode.
