Life after death proof? Man is convinced he saw Jesus Christ after a heart attack

LIFE after death is real, according to a man who is convinced he encountered Jesus Christ during a near-death experience (NDE).

A man who introduced himself as Nathan claims to have vivid memories of passing into the afterlife after suffering a heart attack in 2010. According to Nathan, he was on his way to his parents’ home when his heart stopped and his lungs filled with blood. Paramedics arrived and took him to a hospital where he was given CPR and was considered clinically dead for 26 minutes.

During the near-death experience (NDE), Nathan remembers seeing himself from outside of his body.

Such out-of-body experiences are a common thread among NDE patients who survived heart attacks.

But the most incredible part of Nathan’s account came after he arrived in hospital.

He said: “I was in peace, warm and happy. We arrived at the hospital.

“I floated above them and into an operating room as they rolled me onto my side. Black liquid came out.

“I saw what everyone was wearing and where my family was standing. They were all in tears.”

Nathan then had a vision of bright light in a field where Jesus Christ stood.

Jesus reached out to Nathan and comforted him, telling him not to be afraid.

Nathan said: “I was at peace the whole time. I could clearly see him.

“He did the sign of the cross and told me it wasn’t my time.”

Nathan then woke up and realised he was hooked up to life support.

The doctors told him his survival was a bona fide miracle as he had a less than one percent chance of living.

He told his parents of his experience, which he claims restored his faith and happiness.

Nathan said: “My understanding of where things come from is extremely more intelligent.

“I am grateful and humbled by the Grace of Jesus Christ.

“It restored my family’s faith also. It brought us closer.”

Although many medical experts agree that some NDE patients believe their experiences were supernatural, there is no concrete evidence to back these claims from a scientific standpoint.

According to Dr Sam Parnia, director of critical care and resuscitation research at NYU Langone School of Medicine in New York City, the experiences are often similar.

He said: “People describe a sensation of a bright, warm, welcoming light that draws people towards it.

“They describe a sensation of experiencing their deceased relatives, almost as if they have come to welcome them.

“They often say that they didn’t want to come back in many cases, it is so comfortable and it is like a magnet that draws them that they don’t want to come back.”

Researchers, however, speculate there are natural explanations, such as brain cell death and hallucinations caused by a lack of oxygen.
