Brainteasers like this one are a fun way to stimulate the mind and give the brain some neurological exercise.
Every day the mind is pushed or stretched or challenged by obstacles or stresses we face. Whether that’s working out what film to go and see or trying to drive to a place you’ve never visited before.
Whilst these activities are stimulating, there are other ways to help keep it sharper for longer. Brainteasers are a fun way to do this and they can come in many different forms.
They can be analytical, observational, or mathematical. Analytical brainteasers come in the form of written riddles whilst mathematical brainteasers are maths questions which someone has to solve.
Observational brainteasers, such as the one above from Immerse Education, begin with an image and within that image, you to have to find the visual anomaly. In this case have to find the odd number out among a sea of 383s.

Did you spot the odd number out? No worries if not, it can be found on the right hand side of the brainteaser in the third column from the right 11 rows down from the bottom.
The key to solving this brainteaser is carefully scanning the image from left to right and top to bottom before landing on the number 363.
Brainteasers like this one are enjoyable ways to stimulate the mind and give it much-needed exercise in the same way that running or swimming stimulates the muscles in the arms and legs.
This all contributes to neurological health and the healthier the brain is the less likely it may be to develop health conditions such as dementia.
