The rackets are tightly nestled among the green tennis balls – but can you spot the broken one?
Brainteasers are a great tool for stimulating the mind and giving the brain some exercise. They can come in three different forms, they can be observational, analytical, or mathematical.
Mathematical brainteasers require a user to solve a maths puzzle as quickly as possible whilst analytical brainteasers pose written riddles that also have to be done quickly.
Brainteasers such as the one above by Betway are an example of an observational brainteaser. Observational brainteasers are normally images that contain an anomaly of some kind, one that the user has to spot as quickly as possible.
In this case, your task is to try and spot the racket with the broken strings among an array of similar-looking rackets.

Did you spot the broken racket? No worries if not, the answer is above.
The rogue piece of tennis-playing paraphernalia can be found in the bottom right-hand corner of the brainteaser.
The key to solving observational brainteasers like this one is to scan the image carefully from top to bottom and left to right, assessing each racket in turn.
Brainteasers such as this one are great for giving the mind some neurological stimulation, key for helping the mind stay sharp in the short and long term.

Brain puzzles and other brainteasers are incredibly useful as they help exercise the mind in the same way running, cycling, or going to the gym exercises the arms and legs.
All this contributes to neurological health and the healthier the mind is the less likely someone could be to develop a condition such as dementia.
This doesn’t mean that doing brainteasers will stop someone from developing dementia, other factors can have a much bigger impact, but brainteasers could help keep it sharper for longer.
Dementia is one of the most devastating conditions in the UK with cases expected to continue rising in the next few years. Despite the growing case numbers, there is hope and some treatments are starting to make their way through.
It is the aim of researchers that the growing number of treatments that can slow the condition will one day lead to a cure for all forms of dementia.
