CONSPIRACY theorists claim to have spotted a UFO on live television which was heading straight towards Area 51.
While NBC News was interviewing the Navajo Tribe of Arizona, a bright dot can be seen travelling quickly through the sky. Eagle-eyed viewers spotted the bright light, and while most would assume it was a plane, conspiracy theorists are claiming it is evidence of extraterrestrial activity.
A viewer wrote on the UFO investigation network MUFON: “The August 3, 2020 issue of NBC Nightly News caught my attention by describing how the Navajo Indians are fighting a water crisis amid the coronavirus pandemic, but after watching this issue I found something else there – a disc-shaped UFO flying by at that very moment when the Indian shaman cried out to the gods.”
With Arizona being the neighbouring state of Nevada, some conspiracy theorists were quick to claim that the supposed UFO was heading straight towards Area 51.
Area 51 is the popular name for a United States Air Force base at Groom Lake in the Nevada Desert, 85 miles (135km) north of Las Vegas.
What goes on inside is extremely secret, with the public kept away by warning signs and armed guards.
The secrecy surrounding Area 51 has helped fuel many conspiracy theories, mainly that of alien activity – and ET hunters believe this is proof.
Prominent alien researcher Scott C Waring wrote on his blog ET Data Base: “UFOs are often seen by Indians and have often been called spirits.
“This video clearly catches a disk shooting out of the clouds and back into the next cloud in the background.
“I’m not sure why NBC Nightly News missed it, but they were probably focused so much on the girl that they ignored all else.
“Did the UFO deliberately shoot across the background to get caught on TV?

“Probably not, but they were more likely on their ways someone when they noticed the TV crew and people gathered.
” Arizona is a huge bullseye of a hotspot for UFOs. With Area 51 in nearby Nevada desert and Nellis AFB also in Nevada, we kinda know where this UFO was headed toward – Nevada.”
The most famous Area 51 conspiracy theory is the claim the site hosts an alien spacecraft and the bodies of its pilots, after they crashed at Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947.
Area 51 has been used by American aviation authorities since 1955 and is closed off to those without top-level security clearance.
However, the US Government did not even admit the base existed until 2013, in a series of documents released as part of a Freedom of Information request, and it is heavily protected by armed guards.
