While it may not claim the title of the “world’s most dangerous rollercoaster”, the Gravity Max will unquestionably have you screaming in terror. It teases at the outset with an ominous caption: “Found the scariest rollercoaster ever.”
It then tantalises viewers with a call to “wait” and witness the impending thrill.
The ride eerily starts at the summit before pivoting terrifyingly to a 90-degree angle, where it releases its intrepid passengers after the remaining portion of the coaster secures into place. After an agonising wait, riders finally plunge down the track.
The Gravity Max, a steel creation from Dutch manufacturer Vekoma, stands proudly within Lihpao Land. When it originally opened back in 2002, the rides tracks were coloured yellow against blue supports, but in 2016 it underwent a dramatic facelift to sport a bold red and black palette.

The ride boasts a dizzying top speed of 90.1km/h and soars to a height of 34.7 metres, complete with a heart-stopping 90-degree drop that riders witness firsthand. Brave participants endure the thrill for 2 minutes and 25 seconds, filled with either courage or screams.
The clip, once uploaded on TikTok, rapidly went viral, raking in 830,000 likes and 16,900 comments. A concerned viewer remarked: “Imagine if the rails didn’t click into place properly.”
Echoing the fear, another stated: “If someone puked from the top that would mean absolutely EVERYONE would get puked on at the way down.”
Another commenter expressed: “NOPE! That’s some Final Destination stuff right there.” Yet another added: “That’s just an accident waiting to happen.” A fifth questioned: “Is that even legal?”
