No matter what form brainteasers take, they are a great way to stimulate the mind and give the brain a workout.

In the same way that cycling, running, or swimming help to improve the health of the lungs and muscles, brainteasers can sometimes provide the same benefit to the brain by improving neurological health.

The healthier someone’s brain is the less likely they might be to develop conditions such as dementia. This doesn’t mean that brainteasers will stop someone from developing dementia, but they could help keep the mind sharper for longer.

Dementia is one of the most pernicious conditions someone can develop. While new treatments are currently being developed, there is currently no cure for a disease that destroys the lives of thousands of people every year.
