A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, transporting in excess of twenty Starlink satellites, took off Thursday evening from Vandenberg Space Force Base located in California.

The liftoff happened promptly after 7 p.m. PDT.

It transported 28 Starlink satellites as cargo, intended for deployment into low-Earth orbit, where they will become a component of a larger group providing rapid, minimal-delay Internet service worldwide.

The initial stage booster, having completed its 28th journey, successfully touched down on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship, which had been anticipating its re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere in the Pacific Ocean.

This liftoff signified the 117th Falcon 9 launch this year, as part of an initiative to conduct 134 launches prior to 2026.
