UFOs ‘may be piloted by time-travelling humans’, scientist claims

Professor Michael Masters, a biological anthropologist at Montana Technological University in Butte, claims that UFOs may be piloted by ‘time-travelling humans’

From The War of the Worlds to Attack the Block, UFOs are a key feature in many science fiction blockbusters.

Now, one scientist claims that UFOs are very much real, although they may not be piloted by aliens .

Instead, Professor Michael Masters, a biological anthropologist at Montana Technological University in Butte, claims that UFOs may be piloted by ‘time-travelling humans.’

In his new book, ‘Identified Flying Objects: A Multidisciplinary Scientific Approach to the UFO Phenomenon,’ Professor Masters argues that humans of the future could develop the knowledge and machinery needed to travel back in time.

Speaking to space.com, he said: “I took a multidisciplinary approach in order to try and understand the oddities of this phenomenon.

    • Aliens exist and they are living invisibly on Earth, says first Brit in space

    • Scientist claims he has 'photographic evidence' of aliens on Mars

“Our job as scientists is to be asking big questions and try to find answers to unknown questions. There's something going on here, and we should be having a conversation about this. We should be at the forefront of trying to find out what it is."

While you might think that time-traveling humans are a far-fetched concept, Professor Masters argues that they’re more likely than alien pilots.

He added: “We know we're here. We know humans exist. We know that we've had a long evolutionary history on this planet. And we know our technology is going to be more advanced in the future.

“I think the simplest explanation, innately, is that it is us. I'm just trying to offer what is likely the most parsimonious explanation."

However, not everyone is convinced by Professor Master’s theory.

Speaking to space.com, UFO skeptic, Robert Sheaffer, called it a ‘highly dubious claim.’

He said: “There is nothing in this book to take seriously, as it depends on the belief that 'time travel' is not only possible, but real.”
