China launched a new satellite: for economic development and defense

Last Sunday, October 26, a new spacecraft was successfully launched from China's Xichang Satellite Launch Center, located in the southwestern province of Sichuan.

The satellite, named Gaofen-14 02, was launched into space at 11:55 a.m. Beijing time on a Long March-3B rocket, as reported by a correspondent for the online publication Belnovosti.

According to the BELTA news agency, citing local sources, it was successfully launched into the planned orbit.

This Earth observation satellite has the capability to produce high-precision stereo images on a global scale.

It thus provides fundamental geoinformation support for the development of the national economy and national defense.

This launch was the 603rd in history for the Chinese Long March (Changzheng) rocket series.
