Black Friday sales may be over, but that doesn't mean all the deals are over—we found a great deal on the iPhone 16 this Cyber Monday that beats Apple's own prices.
Black Friday may be over, but with Cyber Monday upon us, we've found a sweet deal for all you iPhone 16 lovers out there, as Very is offering it at a lower price than Apple. The retailer has slashed the price of the 2024 iOS flagship to a brand new low.
If you thought you missed out on Black Friday this year, don't worry, as there are Cyber Monday deals running this week, which often see prices on existing stock drop even further, giving you the chance to save. Those looking to pick up the new iPhone 16 are in luck – they can save £30 at Very, as the model has been reduced from £799 to £769 – you can buy it here.
It's rare for Apple products to see price cuts, especially from its own store, so while £30 might not seem like much to some, it's a significant deal for anyone keen to get their hands on the new iOS model, whether for themselves or as a stylish Christmas present. Combined with offers from Amazon and John Lewis, it also beats out tech retailer Currys, which is offering the device for £779 in advance… highlighting the benefits of bargain hunting.

The new £769 price at Very is only available for the standard 128GB iPhone 16 model in black, and of course shoppers should remember that it doesn't include any data plans or SIM cards – so you'll have to buy those separately.

Very has slashed the price of the Apple iPhone 16 by £30, bringing the model down from £799 to £769. It's a small discount on rival Samsung's offer, but it's currently one of the lowest prices you can pay upfront for a 2024 iOS flagship smartphone.

There are just a few hours left until Very's Black Friday deals end, and the deal appears to be selling out on the online store, showing up as “in demand” and “currently trending”, with over 54 shoppers snapping it up in just the last 24 hours. This comes as Very posts a warning on its site for budget shoppers: “Black Friday ends” as the sale ends in 11 hours and 49 minutes (at the time of writing) – which is 11:59pm today, Monday, December 2.
If you want to take advantage of the iPhone 16 discount but don't want to go for the plain black colour, then Amazon is your best bet over the Very discount, as the Prime retailer is offering the same £769 price on a wider range of options. Amazon shoppers can currently pick up the same 128GB model with savings in pink and ultramarine.
On the John Lewis website, the lower price is only available on the Ultramarine device, while other colours are £20 off. All of the offers above are mobile-only, and you'll need to have £769 in your bank account to pay upfront.
For those who prefer to spread the cost of their smartphones, Sky Mobile is a similar option – splitting the cost over months and adding a SIM pack. Mobile plans start at £25 a month, and data can be added on top (with its current plan offer at 50% off) – but buyers should remember that the device is contracted for a full 36 months, so it’s a long-term commitment.
“The new iPhone and iPhone 16 Plus feature useful upgrades, including an incredibly powerful A18 chip that leaves Android competitors in the dust. This chip makes the iPhone 16 an ideal tool for editing photos and videos, and it's also a great way to game on the go,” said tech editor Dave Snelling, who got his first taste of Apple's newest handset.
Pointing to some of its most highly praised new additions, a larger battery, faster wireless charging, and of course the upcoming Apple Intelligence update made the list. However, some shortcomings were also noted.
