A father fighting cancer from intensive care got to witness his daughter's best moment of her life from his hospital bed after she moved her wedding forward.
Last month Steven Schweikhart was told his lung cancer had returned "with a vengeance".
His heartbroken daughter, Shelby Schweikhart-Conville, decided to move her wedding forward and hold it in Steven's hospital room at St Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
Shelby and her partner Jared even managed to plan the wedding in under half an hour.
Writing on Facebook , Shelby wrote: "Not the idea I had in mind for a wedding, but Jared and I got married."
She said they were told the cancer had taken over her father's lungs and he was not responding to chemotherapy.

She added: "Knowing we had exhausted every hope, we planned a wedding in the ICU in less than 30 minutes.
"It was the most beautiful bittersweet moment of my life. My dad got to see his baby girl get married, and it meant the world to me that he was able to see it."
Since the wedding Steven has come off life support and Shelby has thanked the nursing staff and her friends for making it all possible.
"He's still with us, and if you could continue praying for my family, I would so greatly appreciate it."

Her Facebook post which includes a video of her wedding has been viewed more than 300,00 times since it was posted last week and received thousands of comments from well-wishers.
One user wrote: "Omg I'm crying prayers for you and your family. I'm so glad you blessed your father with this moment. My heart breaks for you. Prayers and hugs."
Another wrote: "God bless you. As an ICU nurse, I know how hard these moments are and how every second together counts. May you have a long and happy marriage knowing it was blessed by your father."

Steven has now left hospital and has been placed into hospice care, according to Courier & Press .
His daughter told the newspaper: "Now it's [more than] a week later and he just keeps getting better everyday.
"He's up walking, talking and eating.
"We're just praying for a miracle."
