Guinness-lover necks pint mixed with tomato soup

TikTok user Ben Stanford left viewers horrified as he necked Guinness mixed with tomato soup, but he actually thought it was ‘okay’

A somewhat stomach-turning video of a man mixing Guinness and tomato soup has sent TikTok users into a frenzy, with some calling the beverage “absolutely diabolical”.

In a daring display, Ben Stanford, known to his TikTok fans for his unconventional mixology, shocked viewers as he wasted no time necking the peculiar half-and-half concoction of tomato soup and Guinness.

The TikToker told viewers he hoped the outlandish blend was “everything you wanted” as he sought suggestions for other potential pairings with the beloved Irish beverage.

Ben expertly poured Co-op’s own brand of tomato soup into a Guinness glass, followed by the dark stout, creating a mix that was likened to the food and drink soldiers in World War 1 consumed.

Ben hailed the unlikely solution as a “lovely little combo”, declaring it perfect for university students preparing for a night out but also needing an economical meal.

Ben was seen guzzling the lukewarm coalescence of tomato soup and “perfect temperature” Guinness in one single, nauseating sequence.

One TikTok follower joked: “I am always thinking to myself how can I have pre drinks but also have my tea in so thank you so much for this idea!” Even going as far as bringing a sick bucket into frame before drinking the mix, admirably Ben managed to consume all of it.

He insisted the concoction was surprisingly palatable, sharing with his followers: “It was actually okay. I half recommend this one for people out there who want to try something new. It wasn’t too bad at all actually.”

Yet, not all were persuaded, with a sceptic commenting: “We used to drink this combo in the trenches during WW1.”

While the tomato soup and Guinness drink may not become a pub staple, TikTok users suggested some further mixtures for Ben to try. Suggestions included a “Guinness & Tonic”, a mixture of lime and Guinness and even a curry sauce base.
