Only those with high IQ can crack this tricky brainteaser in under 10 seconds

This is a type of observational brainteaser designed to push the mind and give it a high dose of stimulation.

The mind is an incredible organism, it is the computer inside our heads that guides us through life and pushes us forward.

In order to move forward, the mind must occasionally be tested in minor or major ways.

One of the best minor tests of the mind is to do a brainteaser.

Created by Brightside, this brainteaser shows a woman searching for an item in a sewing room.

Your task is to try and find the missing sewing machine in as short a time as possible.

Crack this tricky brainteaser in under 10 seconds and it could show that you have a high IQ.

Did you spot the sewing machine? No worries if not, the answer is above. Look closely at the image and you’ll see one end of the sewing machine poking out from under a role of material in the bottom left-hand corner of the image.

This brainteaser is just one of thousands that people can do to push their minds and stretch them a little. This brainteaser is an example of an observational brainteaser where you have to spot the anomaly in an image.

Other types of these brain puzzles include analytical and mathematical brainteasers. Analytical brainteasers ask the user to solve a puzzle whilst mathematic brainteasers ask them to solve a maths question.

The reason why brainteasers are so important is because they act like exercise for the mind in the same way running, cycling or swimming does for the muscles in the arms and legs. This exercise, in combination with a healthy diet, can help keep the mind sharper for longer.

The healthier the mind, the less likely it is to develop conditions such as dementia and Parkinson’s Disease. This doesn’t mean that brainteasers can stop someone from developing these conditions – other factors can have a much greater impact – but they could help give it necessary stimulation.
