An expert has shared the incredible way to stack the dishwasher.
A dishwasher expert has shared the perfect way to load the dishes into it and people have been left speechless.
Andrew Laughlin, a dishwasher expert from Which? Shared tips for correctly stacking the dishwasher in an Instagram reel.
In the video, the expert said: “So, I never rinse the plates. Just scrape the food waste into the bin and stack it in the machine. It will pre-wash as a part of its cycle, so washing it by hand is just a waste of water.
“I always put the dirty side of the plates inward and bowls and pans facing down, because this is where the water sprays out of.
“I make sure there is room between each item so the water can circulate. Alternate between big and small items can help with this.

“And I always put the most dirty stuff like roasting trays on the lower rack, because that’s where the water pressure and the temperature is the highest.
“If you have got a mix of really dirty items and only mildly dirty stuff, we would recommend giving the really dirty items their own wash. This is often using an intensive cycle, which bumps the temperature upto 70C and also usually increases the water pressure too.
“Because the top rack is cooler, I use it for cups, glasses and also tupperware. It means the tupperware has less chance or warping in the heat. I try to put glasses along the side supports because the jets are more powerful here and mugs in the middle.

“For bigger glasses or if they have got a long stem, I will adjust the top rack. Most dishwashers come with an adjustable top rack, but it’s not always obvious how to do it. Check the instruction manual if you are not sure.”
