3G and 5G communication modules

3G is the third generation of communication modules. 3G communication modules can be called a set of services that can combine high-speed mobile access and radio communication technology, which creates a communication channel.

3G communication modules are built on the basis of packet data transmission. Third-generation 3G networks operate on the border of the decimeter and centimeter range. They allow you to organize a video phone connection, watch movies and various content on your mobile phone.

Prevalence

According to Wireless Intelligence, at the end of November 2006, there were already about 365 million 3G subscribers in the world, of which 93.5 million were connected to UMTS networks and 271.1 million to CDMA2000.

Basic services

3G networks provide two main services: data transmission and voice transmission. According to the ITU regulation, 3G networks must support the following data transfer rates:

1.for high — speed subscribers-at least 144 kbit / s;
2.for subscribers with low mobility-384 kbit / s;

The second technology is 5G communication modules.

5G modules help provide high-speed, modern and reliable communication, which has come to replace 4G and other wireless data transmission technologies.

5G is the fifth generation of communication, operating on the basis of telecommunications standards (5G / IMT-2020), following the existing 4G/IMT-Advanced standards. Telecommunications is a new generation communication standard.

5G technologies should provide higher bandwidth compared to 4G technologies, which will allow for greater availability of mobile broadband access, as well as the use of device-to-device modes (lit. device-to-device, direct connection between subscribers), ultra-reliable large-scale communication systems between devices, and lower latency.

The emergence of the first 5G networks

a) In the spring of 2019, South Korea became the first country in Asia to launch commercial services of the fifth generation of 5G. The standard first appeared in major cities, in particular, in Seoul.
b) In April 2019, 5G connectivity is available in 54 cities in Switzerland.
d) In mid-summer 2019, Vodafone and Huawei decided to launch a 5G network in Spain.
e) On October 31, 2019, the 5G network covered 50 cities in China, making the country a leader in the implementation of this technology.
