It’s often seen as a disgusting habit, but a new study suggests that a lot more people wee in the shower than you might think.
A survey by QS Supplies asked 1,010 Brits and Americans about their shower habits.
The results revealed that while most people won’t openly admit it, 68% of men and 56% of women wee in the shower.
The survey also showed that most people seize the opportunity for an easy cleanup operation while in the shower, with 47% blowing their noses and 44% spitting while in the shower.
Disgustingly, the results revealed that many people carry out disgusting habits not only in their home shower, but also at work, with 32% admitting to urinating in the work shower.
QS Supplies explained: “Rarer but more shocking activities also occurred: 1 in 20 admitted to masturbating, and 1 in 30 even said they've defecated while showering at work.
“If you shower at work, think about how many people use it and weigh your chances of sharing with a multitasker.”
The survey also revealed how often most people shower every week.
The majority (34%) of participants said they shower 4-6 times a week, while 31% shower daily.
At the other ends of the spectrum, just 1% said they don’t shower at all, while 5% claimed to shower 14 or more times a week!
QS Supplies added: “In this modern world, many of us try to shave spare minutes off our busy daily routines. So much so that 47% of people we spoke to said they often skip washing because they ‘don't have time.’
“So, when they went to the trouble of having a proper shower, many chose to make the most of it and multitasked while they did.”
