Recently, a user on Reddit's r/delta thread asked an interesting question.
“What's the most unusual thing that's ever happened to you on a flight?” he asked, and his question has now garnered nearly 2,000 responses.
The user started the discussion by posting a photo of a flight passenger playing a wooden recorder while sitting by the window.
“During landing/taxiing, this sweet gentleman took out his recorder and performed 'Amazing Grace' for the other 100 people on the plane,” the user wrote. “I'm so glad he waited until the end of the flight.”
He added that it was “by far the strangest thing I've ever seen on an airplane.”

Other Reddit users shared in the comments the most unusual activities they've seen at 30,000 feet.
“A few years ago, I found myself in the middle seat next to a young woman who was carrying a nearly life-size doll head with tangled hair,” one user wrote. “And no, she was not a hairdresser.”
Another participant noted, “I don't like it when people cut their toenails. I've seen it three times. Twice [in] the row across from me and once in the same row.”
One commenter added: 'The woman put the rooster on the top shelf but it got away.'
One user reported: “The woman sitting across from me brought spaghetti and meatballs on the plane, but she must have been in a hurry because she ate it straight out of one of those plastic thank you bags.”

One Reddit user reported that “an older man kept asking me questions about my job even when I had my headphones on (several times) on my way to work. He didn't take the hint and even said I was rude for not talking to him.”
Another commenter said, “My wife and I were in chairs 1C and 1D. The guy in chair 1B, after eating, got out his dental floss and started brushing his teeth like he was getting a root canal. He used both hands, right there in his seat.”
One person wrote: “The weirdest thing I've seen was someone changing their baby's diaper on the seat back tray. Yep, the whole plane smelled like dirty diapers for the rest of the flight.”
Another participant described it this way: “Donald and Melania Trump impersonators [were] sitting in the front row on a Southwest flight. The impersonator noticed that I looked at him twice as he walked by. I think most [people] think that.”

Gary Leff, a Texas-based travel expert and author of the blog “View From the Wing,” told Fox News Digital that air travelers should be mindful of others.
“Passengers on an airplane have a personal space area that roughly corresponds to the size of their seat,” Leff said.
“There are all sorts of activities that can happen in this space that could be criticized (usually related to personal hygiene and grooming), but it all comes down to the discretion of the individual,” he added.
“It really all depends on the discretion of each individual.”
