Because this probe is like a message in a bottle, dropped into the ocean of the universe. Its mission lasts longer than most satellites, and it has no fuel at all.
All he has is a tiny nuclear generator and a set of devices created without the help of computers.

In the late 1970s, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune were aligned in such a way that the probe could use their gravity as a “slingshot,” accelerating for free.
Today, such an astronomical coincidence is impossible – the planets will not repeat this situation for tens of thousands of years.
But what does this old probe have to do with us? It reminds us that even in the digital age, analog technology can do the impossible.
Its signals take 22 hours to reach Earth, and its transmitter power is equivalent to a refrigerator light bulb. Yet scientists are still receiving data on magnetic fields and particles where the Sun's influence ends.
The main paradox is that the probe continues to break records even while “dying.”
Every year it sets a new maximum distance from Earth, and its latest image, the famous “Pale Blue Dot,” still makes us wonder how fragile our planet is in the emptiness of space.
Modern missions to Mars and the Moon seem more spectacular, but they will not replace this “grandfather”. His record is not just numbers.
It is a symbol of the era when humanity first risked sending a message to the stars, not knowing whether anyone would hear it. And as long as the probe flies, there is a chance that it will be found one day. Even if it takes millions of years.
