UFO sighting: Mystery ‘alien’ objects emerge at Area 51-affiliated base

UFO watchers have shared incredible satellite photos showing even more mystery objects emerge from a top-secret Area 51 experimental air base. Planet Labs’ satellite photos last year showed a dozen mystery objects emerge from rows of hangars at the top-secret Tonopah Test Range Airport.

The December 2019 occurrence was considered a one-off, until even more UFOs were spotted this week.

Imagery obtained exclusively from Planet Labs’ three-metre resolution Planet Scope imaging satellites appears to show a dozen objects sitting poking out of the same dozen hangars as before.

Some of the objects seem quite large, with the morning light casting their shadow.

On the north-end of Tonopah’s long hangar-filled ramp are believed to be three Air Force Special Operations Command 70ft-long (21m) CASA CN-235s.

These aircraft, along with contractor-operated ones, are regular visitors to this part of the base.

These objects last appeared in front of those hangars on December 6, 2019 at approximately 10.15am.

Their unexpected reappearance took place a Monday morning just after noon local time.

The revamp of Tonopah Test Range Airport’s main runway involves a section of its southern end undergoing a major overhaul, limiting the usable runway length.

In addition, the air terminal used by Janet airliners on the south side of the base is also under construction.

This led to the Janet jets parking on the north side of the main ramp, between the white and red hangar clusters, where the F-117s, small and large Air Force transport and flying testbed activity occurs.

Little is known about these objects, although UFO conspiracy theorists have been left stunned by the unexpected activity at the usually quiet sprawling base.

Theories range the objects are being used to troubleshoot any satellite data-link issues before departing.

Another, more prosaic, idea is the aircraft may have been taken out to be fuelled.

Tonopah Test Range Airport is located on the northern edge of the Nevada Test and Training Range.

The base is known as the facility where aircraft experimented on at the infamous Area 51 base become operational according to The Drive.

Tonopah Test Range was first created in a program where American fighter pilots secretly flew and tested captured Russian MIGs against their fellow aviators.

Since then the remote airport and range, which boasts over fifty hangars, has become home to the remaining fleet of retired F-117 Nighthawk stealth aircraft.

Today Tonopah and the range support a number of clandestine programs as well as testing, however recently unusual activity has been spotted around a dozen hangars, which has been caught on satellite footage.

The earlier satellite images is unique because it revealed some program was active in the hangars that day and roughly fighter-sized jets were pictured outdoors.
