Spotify's annual Wrapped update has just been confirmed, and here's how to get it.
It’s that time of year again. Music enthusiasts around the world have been eagerly awaiting confirmation of Spotify Wrapped, and the release is now official. That means you can open up the popular music app and check out your listening habits over the past year, then share the results with friends or post them on social media.
This is a highly anticipated event, but to participate you will need to make sure you have the latest app update installed on your iPhone or Android device.
To check, simply go to the Apple App Store on iOS or the Google Play Store on Android and search for Spotify. You'll then see if an update is needed.

For those who don’t know, Spotify Wrapped gives you an interactive overview of the last 11 months. You’ll get a full breakdown of your most popular artists and songs, which you can then share directly to X, Instagram, or TikTok.
This year also saw the launch of a new personalized podcast on the topic.
“From showing users how their music preferences have changed throughout the year to delivering Wrapped results through a new personalized podcast, Spotify Wrapped 2024 gives fans even more ways to enjoy the music they love,” Spotify said in a press release.
“Your tastes and moods change throughout the year, and so does the music you listen to. This new data story reveals the musical phases that clearly defined your year. Users will get up to three musical phases, each displayed with a description, genres, and artists.

As in 2023, some artists have also recorded special thank you videos for their fans. Spotify will show you if you're among these musicians' top listeners around the world. Among those taking part are Billie Eilish, Usher, and Sabrina Carpenter.
While Wrapped is an incredibly personal review for each Spotify customer, the company also revealed a list of the most listened to artists, songs and albums this year in the UK.
