Man spots ‘demon’ in shadows of house as people warn it’s ‘haunted’

A man claims to have seen a ‘tall figure’ lurking in the shadows of his girlfriend’s home – and he’s not the only one convinced something paranormal is going on

A man is convinced he saw a spooky shadow in his girlfriend’s home – and he’s not the only one who thinks there’s something spooky going on.

Cade Onder, 23, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his scary tale as fellow users warned the sighting could be the sign of something supernatural or a chilling break-in. The “tall figure wearing a baseball hat” appeared after the pair came back from a date night.

Cade wrote wrote: “Last night, my girlfriend and I came back from dinner, sat down on the couch and I saw a tall figure wearing a baseball hat walk through her dark bedroom.”

After asking his partner if she had locked the door, Cade kept the sighting to himself until there was a second sign of something spectral haunting the hallways.

“It really creeped me out because I was pretty certain of what I saw and I stared into her room waiting to see something move, but nothing happened… so I just let it go,” Cade continued. “We went to bed later and her dog would randomly bark, very aggressively at her bedroom door.”

Last night, my girlfriend and I came back from dinner, sat down on the couch and I saw a tall figure wearing a baseball hat walk through her dark bedroom.

I immediately asked “did you lock the door” and she said yes, but I didn’t tell her what I saw.

Cade then told his girlfriend about what he had seen and the pair heard”a loud bang out in the kitchen,” which made them both freeze. They spent a restless night wondering whether someone had broken in – or whether they had ghostly company.

“I think my girlfriend’s house is haunted and I’m gonna get killed by a demon,” Cade added. But some X users did not think leaving his own fate to chance was a wise idea.

One user warned: “Check the attic/basement dude… this is not something to write off as a demon/ghost lol trust.” Another said: “An exhaustive search of the home/bedroom would have been my move?”

Cade has since confirmed the home has no basement or attic and said he did not search the property at the time as he did not want to “be the guy who would die first in a horror movie”. He has since had a thorough look around.

“Yeah, nothing looked out of place so I don’t think anything fell or anything like that,” he wrote. “Double checked the locks, looked around, everything looked fine so I’m really not sure what it was.”

Some even suggested the couple’s dog was the demon in question. One user attached a photo of the animal and wrote: “Have you thought that the demon is inside your dog?”

Cade did not rule it out, replying: “I have told my girlfriend that he looks like a man pretending to be a dog. He has very human eyes and is f***ing massive.”
