Rare Pokémon card worth up to £4million sparks frenzied search of attics

Vintage Mario Kart and ’90s Barbies dolls could also earn you a small fortune, according to the new list released by experts.

Pokemon fans are frantically seaching their cupboards after experts valued a classic trading card at a whopping £4.3 million.

Reviewers at Toyzone listed a number of favourite ’90s toys which are now worth a fortune, also including vintage Mario Kart N-64 cartridges and a Magic 8 Ball.

Vintage Barbie dolls have surged in value after the success of 2023’s Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie.

Those on the rarer end of the scale – such as the De Beers 40th Anniversary Barbie – are worth £61,000.

Logan Paul’s Pikachu illustrator card is the most expensive ’90s Pokemon card, valued at £4.3 million.

    A Mario Kart cartridge for the N64 sold for £15,000, making it the priciest vintage Nintendo game.

    An action figure named Scratch The Cat, from the ’90s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game, recently sold for a whopping £7,883.

    Kid Dracula, brought out in 1993 on the Game Boy, is worth £16,194, while the 1994 Super Nintendo game of The Flintstones is worth £15,800.

    The 1st edition Shadowless Base set Charizard card is valued at a massive £420,000, making it the second most expensive Pokemon card ever.

    And still have a hold of your 1996 Nintendo 64? Well that carries a hefty price tag of £4,500 ($5,600).

    A 1998 or 1999 Game Boy Colour could fetch you up to £2,500.
