You have laser eyesight if you can spot the imposter number

Brainteasers are a great way to stretch the mind and push the brain to its limits in an entertaining way.

Brainteasers can come in many different shapes and sizes, but the three main types of brainteasers are observational, analytical, and mathematical.

Mathematical brainteasers come in the form of difficult mathematical equations which the user must solve as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, analytical brainteasers can be equally as tricky with users encouraged to try and solve a written riddle instead.

Observational brainteasers, like the one above by Jagran Josh, start off with a graphic full of random images, letters or numbers.

From this image, people have to spot the anomaly. In this case, the task is to spot the odd number out from the multiple rows of 6s above.

Did you spot the odd number out? No worries if not, the answer is circled above in red. The number nine can be seen in the middle of the image.

Brainteasers like this one are perfect for giving the mind some stimulation, they can act like exercise for the mind in the same way that swimming or cycling can exercise the muscles in the arms and legs.

As a result, brainteasers could help contribute to neurological health, a key factor in someone’s risk of developing a neurological condition such as dementia.

This doesn’t mean brainteasers will stop someone from developing dementia, other factors can have a much bigger impact, but they could help keep the mind sharper for longer.
