Amazon continues to lead the streaming TV space, but a new rival is poised to challenge it.
Amazon's Fire TV devices remain one of the most popular ways to watch content, but there is a growing number of competitors from the likes of Sky, Freely, Google and Apple.
One of Amazon's main rivals is of course the Roku platform, and there are a number of affordable new TVs coming to the UK that run the hugely popular system.
A recent update comes courtesy of the Westinghouse tech team: the US company is upping its game and announcing the launch of two budget smart screens priced at just £125.99.
That ridiculously low price is for the smaller 24-inch screen – those who prefer the larger 32-inch display will have to pay just £132.99.

The two TVs now compete with Amazon's two-series Fire TV, which costs £249.99 (usually discounted to around £179.99).
With the Roku operating system, owners will be able to connect to a wide range of content from providers like Disney, Netflix, and Apple.
Live TV is also available via the Freeview tuner and many other free channels are available with access to iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4, My5 and the Roku Channel.
Other useful features include Roku Search, which helps you find content faster using voice commands, and built-in AirPlay, which lets you stream content directly from your iPhone to the big screen.

“We’re proud to be partnering with Westinghouse to bring this new range of smart TVs to the UK,” said Richard Halton, country manager for Roku UK. “Roku is the number one selling TV operating system in the US, Canada and Mexico, renowned for its simplicity and ease of use. With a huge range of Roku TV models on the market, it’s easier than ever for UK consumers to stream their favourite entertainment.”
Of course, many of the features and free content are also available on Amazon's Fire TVs, but if you're looking for something new, these fresh screens are worth checking out.
