Life after death: Woman’s terrifying near-death experience story – Met my dead father

LIFE after death is real according to some people who suffered near-death experiences (NDEs), including one woman who claims to have met her dead father in the afterlife.

Life after death has fascinated scientists and doctors for decades, with many attempting to prove the afterlife is real. People who stood on the brink of death often recall seeing bright lights and hearing voices. Although most of these phenomena can be explained through science, there are some people who claim to have had more profound experiences of the afterlife.

One such person is Ms Krystyna who lives nears Grodzisko Wielkopolskie, a town in western Poland.

According to Onet.pl, Mrs Krystyna went through a near-death experience at the age of 26 after being diagnosed with meningitis.

According to the woman, she passed into a tunnel filled with light.

She said: “I have never seen a light like that. It was a very bright streak.

“The tunnel extended upwards. On my way I met my father who had been dead for four years, he was very happy, radiant.

“He held buns on a tray and said, ‘Go back. Don’t go this way, you must live. Remember, eat.’

“I turned away from him and saw my deceased brother submerged up to his shoulders in a bog, he was very sad.

“I thought, ‘I must do something to help him. I’ll come back for him.’

“Returning to my body I saw myself. I was laying in bed, there were some doctors, some machine.

“I could see them attempting to revive me, although at the time I thought they were hurting me.”

Most scientists do not consider NDEs to be true experiences of the afterlife.

The existence of an ‘afterlife’ remains a matter of belief, not scientific proof

NDEs commonly occur during cardiac arrest, when the body comes very close to dying.

Dr Sam Parnia, director of critical care and resuscitation research at NYU Langone School of Medicine in New York City, believes people on the brink of death can still experience the world around them.

The NDE expert said during an OZ Talk: “People describe a sensation of a bright, warm, welcoming light that draws people towards it.

“They describe a sensation of experiencing their deceased relatives, almost as if they have come to welcome them.

“They often say that they didn’t want to come back in many cases, it is so comfortable and it is like a magnet that draws them that they don’t want to come back.

“A lot of people describe a sensation of separating from themselves and watching doctors and nurses working on them.”

The reactions could be, for instance, explained by blood still keeping the brain alive.

Many of the voices NDE patients claim to have heard, could also be explained by the hubbub of doctors attempting to revive them.

In 2014, the NHS analysed a study of 140 people who suffered cardiac arrests and NDEs.

The NHS said: “Reported near-death experiences can range from the mystical – seeing a bright light – or having an out-of-body- experience – feeling like you’re floating above your body – to the disturbing – a drowning sensation.”

However, the NHS said people who go through cardiac arrest do not die, not “even technically”.

The NHS said: “A more accepted definition of death is when brain stem death occurs, which is when all neural activity in the deepest brain ceases.

“While it is possible to keep the heart functioning using life support systems, a person with brain stem death has permanently lost the potential for consciousness.

“The existence of an ‘afterlife’ remains a matter of belief, not scientific proof.”
