Spotify Wrapped 2024 is here and better than ever. However, if you can't access the music overview when you sign into the app, one user has found a great hack
Spotify Wrapped is officially back — and our social feeds are awash with the news. Every year, the streaming platform creates a personalized story for its users, showing information about our most popular artists, albums, and that one song we’ve been listening to on repeat. For its 2024 release, Spotify has introduced what it calls “phases” of our music preferences based on the tracks we listen to. For example, you might find yourself in the “Wild West Banjo Outlaw Country” era or the “Pink Pilates Princesses” era.
Many Instagram users post their results online, showing how they listen exclusively to indie music or enjoy awkward hits that only played behind the walls. However, if you haven't yet accessed Spotify Wrapped, there's a secret code to do so.
One man was left disappointed by Spotify Wrapped when he checked his top five songs and found an unpleasant surprise
Your Spotify Wrapped should open automatically when you launch the app on your phone or tablet. Just tap the “Let’s Go” button in the center of the screen to see your music “phases” and learn about your top five artists and songs of the year. You should also notice new albums on the home page based on your listening habits for 2024. However, some users are complaining that none of this appears when they log into their Spotify account. Luckily, Reddit user Totally Not Here Girl shared a little-known hack last year that they say can instantly show your Wrapped. “On Spotify, type ‘spotify:datastories:wrapped’ into the search bar,” they wrote. “That should work, if not, sorry my friend.”
People rushed to the comments section to support the hack, with one user writing: “It worked! Thank you so much.” However, others noted that the hack simply took them to a “blank page.” “I have so much FOMO,” one person complained.

Spotify warned users to make sure their iOS or Android app is “up to date” to access Wrapped 2024. “You can access the experience through the Wrapped feed on your home screen, which is your one-stop shop for all things Wrapped,” the company added.
Pop star Taylor Swift has been named Spotify's Global Artist of the Year for the second year in a row, accumulating more than 26.6 billion streams worldwide in 2024. The platform has added a Wrapped badge to Taylor's Spotify profile, “marking the first year of this annual distinction and a new expression of the highest honor.”
